Satisfaction of expatriate parents with teachers and the organisation of Croatian education abroad

Sažetak
An empirical study conducted on a sample of 261 parents of children who are currently attending or have attended classes in Croatian abroad was carried out from April to June 2024. Data was collected using a survey method, which was designed and distributed to participants via the Lime Survey tool. The main objective of the research was to assess satisfaction of parents with the implementation of Croatian education abroad and to identify key areas for its improvement. The findings revealed a high level of parental satisfaction with the classes, but also highlighted the need for better organisation and improved material and technical conditions. According to expatriate parents, the most important teacher competencies include the ability to collaborate, which encompasses well-developed communication and social skills, professional and pedagogical competencies, and proficiency in the host country’s language.
