Sažetak

In this panoramic survey we tried to outline almost all of the existing
differences which divide the Eastern form the Western Church. These
differences are not numerous and can be grouped into those of inessential or liturgico-disciplinary nature, and those of essential, namely dogmatic character.
The first group of the differences disputed are those that deal with the
Old Testament Canon, i. e. numer of holy books officially recognized by
the Church in question (the orthodox reject so-called Apocrypha), with
different views on how many Oecumenical Councils there were, an vvith
the doctrine on sacraments.
In the seoond group, that of doctrinal differences, the author tries to
draw our attention to the following disputed points: the doctrine on the
procession of the Holy Ghost, on Roman Bishop’s Primacy, on Purgatory
and on two Marian dogmas: the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption.
