Development of Injection Moulded Polymer Clip

Sažetak

The development of a new polymer product directly depends on the characteristics of a production process and characteristics of the material. Large number of different types of polymers make the development process very complex. In this paper, CAE tools will be used for the new plastic paper clip development. During the development process special attention will be paid to the choice of the polymer material. Also, simulation of injection moulding will be conducted in order to avoid potential injection moulding problems. The results gained from the simulation will be used for the optimization of the paper clip, for the mould design and for optimization of processing parameters, e.g. injection pressure, mould cavity wall temperature, etc.
