Nostalgia as a feature of Tribuson’s autobiographism

Sažetak
Goran Tribuson is the most prominent writer of literary contemporariness and probably the most popular writer of his generation. Several ontological spheres create his abundant literary opus: fantastic fiction, crime novels and autobiographism, realised by various strategies. One of these strategies is nostalgia, mediated as a form of autobiographic discourse by catalogization, naming and other techniques; thus getting closer to postmodern sensitivity of Pavao Pavličić (Oraić Tolić). The paper emphasises works in which the author elaborates on his personal and generation ideologems, from popular music (Polagana predaja) and pornography (Povijest pornografije), to growing up in times of great ideological concepts with radio, television and media culture forms as visible shapes (Rani dani; Trava i korov; Ne dao Bog većega zla; Mrtva priroda). Covered in notable nostalgic apparel, these works entwine high and low literature, (Zumzo’s) aesthetics and acquired literary theories, large metaphors and pathetic folk rhymes, also accompanied by the smell of typical somerica salami, boiled eggs and theatre plays. This confirms Mann’s thought that fiction is a form of “creating a face for one’s own life”, a way of preserving one’s identity as well as the pledge of literary identifiability.
