Sažetak
Carrot is native to the Mediterranean area. Today is grown throughout the world and is one of the ten most important vegetable species. Carrots are grown because of the thickened roots that are nutritious and healthful. The root of the carrot is particularly rich in vitamin A. Sowing is done in early spring or in May and June for winter consumption. High yields and good quality roots are achieved by cultivation on a suitable soil and irrigated.
