Sažetak
The analysis of morphological changes in the vernacular of the city of Split is presented here as sociolinguistic research. The author's aim is to show how the city dialect changes under the influence of the standard language and how the system of analysis, used in explaining phonological changes, can be applied to morphological variations, very seldom examined until now. The author believes that an adequate analysis of dialectal material could help sociolinguists to answer the question how and why language changes.
