Sažetak At the start of the 21st century, the environment in which the business of global organizations is being carried out is marked by the globalization of commercial, economic, political, cultural and other activities. This paper looks into how these environmental conditions affect the quality of products, services and the overall business of organizations in global regions, sub-regions and certain countries, particularly among the 7 most developed countries of the world. For this purpose, research will be carried out on the features of quality and business excellence, such as: regional and national quality awards, the certification of organizations, and realized economic indicators that demonstrate the business of organizations in such environments.
A detailed analysis will be done on the data of award-winning organizations for all categories of the European Quality Award (EQA) under the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), covering the period from the first awards in 1992 to 2005. A look will be taken at the:
- number of awards by country,
- frequency of awards according to country,
- certification in countries in which they were awarded, and
- economic features of countries in which organizations were awarded.
This data should allow for an evaluation of the level at which environments influence the quality and business excellence of organizations.
