Sažetak

The Italian Istrianist discourse on the Mediterranean is discussed in
the text. It has been developed by some writers, journalists and other
intellectuals engaged in the exodus of Italian Istrians to Italy after
World War II. That discourse underlines multiculturalism of Istria and
conceives it in opposition to the Balkans.
