Sažetak

Besides pointing out musical differences among Dalmatian islands
this paper wants to answer the following question: what are the
causes, that is the reasons of those differences — historical, socio-
-economic and other. Among other reasons one finds contacts
between Croatia and other Mediterranean countries in the area of
music.
