Differences in motor abilities and pain intensity in patients after total hip replacement using threedifferent surgical approaches

Sažetak

Aim: The aim of the paper is to analyze motor abilitiesand the influence of pain intensity on recovery in patients seven days after total hip replacement performed using three different surgical approaches.Materials and methods: A retrospective study was conducted by reviewing the database of the Clinic for Orthopedics in Lovran, Department of Physical Medicineand Rehabilitation, covering the period from November1, 2024, to February 1, 2025. The sample included 30 patients who underwent surgery using the lateral approach, 32 using the minimally invasive approach, and 28 using the posterior approach to the hip joint. The recorded variables were the type of surgical approach (posterior, minimally invasive, or lateral), hip joint range of motion, walking distance of 50 meters, and pain intensity (VAS scale).Results: A total of 90 patients were analyzed.
