Abstract
Between 1832 and 1850 the Gazzetta di Zara, a Zadar newspaper,
published several articles of archaeological and numismatic
interest. Some of them mention finds of Greek and
Roman coins at sites in Dalmatia and Montenegro. This newspaper
also reported numerous gifts of ancient coins to the Zadar
Archaeological Museum by donors from across the region,
many of which presumably came from local finds.
