ROMANCE LOANWORDS IN THE CUISINE AND CULINARY LEXICON OF THE RAŽANAC AREA

Sažetak
The goal of this paper was to gather and explore the Romance loanwords concerning cuisine and gastronomy in the dialect of the Ražanac area. They entered into the local dialect thanks to the long – lasting Roman influence in all aspects of life. The loanwords have been
gathered in contact with the local people and compared to other dialects of the Zadar region. The etymologies and the history of these loanwords have also been explained. The author believes this to be the beginning of a thorough study on the linguistic image of the Ražanac area.
