The Cosmological Argument for the Existence o f God

Sažetak
Cosmological and teleological arguments are grounded in experience
and therefore they are understandable even to the non-philosophers.
Cosmological argument rests on the simple fact of existence and has two versions: causal proof, which states that the beginning of causal chain must be God; and argument from contingence, which assumes the explanation of contingent world by necessary being. Causal argument has serious errors in arguing that causal chain certainly has its beginning, and in proving that presupposed beginning of the chain has to be identified with God. Crucial problem of argument from contingence lies in unjustified difference between necessary and contingent existence, as well as in logical mistake of identifying notion of universe with empirical generalization of notion that includes all existent beings.
