Sažetak
In this study Cytodex 1 microcarriers were used for Channel Catfish Ovary (CCO) cell cultivation and biomass production in Spinner-flask.
Cell attachment, cell number and glucose consumption were determined during 312 h cultivation in two media with 5% and 2% of serum. CCO
cell cultivation in medium with lower serum concentration resulted in higher cell yield and specific growth rate when compared to standard
growth medium. Obtained results showed that tested UltraCulture medium was good choice when cultivation of CCO cells in reduced serum
conditions is demanded.
