Sažetak

The author starts from the fact that there is the difference between the traditional education in protection of nature and modern environmental education. The education for the protection of nature is being directed to the relationship of the man with the life forms in nature and with the countryside. Environmental education is emphasising the social and political aspects, as well as regional and global ones, of the environmental problems.
Comparison of the advantages of both viewpoints brings out the following didactic model: the „goal“ is to examine own norms and value concepts and in combination with the environmentally justifiable norms and value concepts bring them closer to us; expanded goal covers the process of qualifying the persons who are to participate in political life and deal with the environmental questions. The „matter“ is explaining the natural, artificial and social environment in the context of essential ecological dangers. The „methods“ are offering the reasonable and rational explanations of the local and global mediation in the ecological problems. The movement should be the analysis of complex interrelations.
