Sažetak

Agricultural land is an asset of interest to the Republic of Croatia and has its special protection. Therefore, it is of extreme importance to know the position, shape and usage of each cadastral parcel of agricultural land. Measures of agricultural policy it is impossible to make without knowing these facts and carried out without a transparent information system which is the basis for efficient and transparent land policy. Such an information system is a tool for the adoption of legal, administrative and economic decisions and the lining of planning and development. The paper presents the possibilities of the newly established Information System Agricultural Land Agency, which speed up management of state agricultural land and recommendations for further development and upgrading of such systems.
