Flora of the Island of Koločep

Sažetak

There are 444 species and subspecies, 299 genera and 80 families of vascular plants in the flora of the island. A number of 368 species have now been recorded on the island of Kolocep for the first time. The majority of species are Dicotylédones (345) while the most represented families are Fabaceae (59) and Poaceae (56).
The greatest importance in the phytogeographical sense belongs to the Mediterranean floristic element (47.75%). Therophytes (46.40%) dominate in the spectrum of life forms. These results of the analysis indicate the Mediterranean character of the flora of the island of Kolocep.
