Sažetak

This work presents the results of research about the differences of teaching outcomes in cognitive area concerning vocal music. This research included students of the first and fifth years of the teaching studies at the universities of Split, Zagreb and Zadar. The results of this research shows no significant differences in teaching outcomes among students of the first year in these three universities, but there are some differences when we look at the teaching outcomes among the students of the fifth year. Finally, there are significant differences among the students` knowledge considering the first and the fifth year students. It is proposed to revise the current curricula of teacher studies in order to equalize education in the field of music education.
