Sažetak
The demand for medicinal plants has been on the rise in recent years. Stinging nettle (Urtica dioica L.) contains a significant amount of bioactive compounds of antioxidant activity in all its plant parts, which explains the growing interest in the use and collection thereof.
By applying modern technologies for nettle cultivation, such as the floating hydroponic system, it is possible to achieve a larger number of harvesting per year as compared to wild nettle harvesting, which would reduce the pressure on natural habitats. The paper presents the research results of drying samples of both wild and hydroponically grown nettle, i.e. the impact of certain parts of the plant (whole plant, leaves and stem) on the duration of the drying process.
