THE POSSIBILITY OF THE MAXIMUM USE OF CORN IN ANIMAL NUTRITION WITH RESPECT TO THE HYBRID AND THE PLANTING DATE

Sažetak

The corn production at IPK Osijek Combine, is one of the main, either from the filed crop production point of view or the technological aspect in the process of animal hysbandry. To obtain not only quantitatively high yield but the high yields of important nutritients for animal nutrition as well, we performed the quality analysis of the corn hybrids on grains and silage. The results of varietal macro trials on grains, which included 38 corn hybrids, indicate that there exist significant differences in the crude digestible proteins content not only among the hybrids but among different maturing groups as well. The protein content varies from 6,42 to 8,88 %. The fat content varies more, from 2,71 to 4,89 %, and there are small variations in the nutritive units content from 1,30 to 1,35. The silage hybrids trials,including 10 hybrids indicate the significant differences not only in nutritive units content, but crude protein content as well. The variation of the nutritive units is from 0.28 to 0,35, and crude protein content from 1,21 to 1,44 %. The further objective of our investigation was the introducing of corn as additional crop in the production process for grain and silage, to fully use the soil capacity, mechanization, manpower and in that way to obtain the high accumulation in the reproduction circle of corn production. The trial including 17 hybrids maturing group 100-200 as additional crop in the first year trial, did not show the expected results, quite differently from the additional crop of silage corn, where the yields of 200 - 300 q/ha of green matter contributed to the higher economical effect per unit of average.
