Sažetak

There were 23 spring barley genotypes tested in traits during the years of 1998 and 1999 in Osijek (eutric cambisoil) and in Nova Gradiška locations (two traits: alluvium and pseudogley soil tip). Main purpose of this investigation was to detect growing factor influence; influence of location (soil fertility) and influence of genotype on spring barley grain yield and on components of grain yield. Genotypes differed significantly in grain yield, hectoliter grain mass and thousand kernels weight and there was important role of growing conditions in its forming. Significantly higher grain yield (5.77t/ha) was realized in Osijek (eutric cambisoil) against Nova Gradiškaa locations (alluvium = 4,92 t/ha and pseudogley = 3.79 t/ha). Yield of grain higher than 5 t/ha was realized in years of 1998 and 1999 by varieties: Magda (5.37 t/ha), Pannonia (5.22 t/ha), Mischka (5.16 t/ha), Jaran (5.10 t/ha), lgor (5.01 t/ha) and Pivarac (5,01 t/ha). There was also significant influence of genotype and growing conditions on first class kernel yield. First class kernel yield was significantly higher in Osijek location (5.294 t/ha) than it was in Nova Gradiška at alluvium (4.508 t/ha) and pseudogley soil (3.221 t/ha). Significant difference (P≤0.05) in this trait was also established between alluvium and pseudogley soil tip. First class grain yield in year 1998. (4.875 t/ha) was significantly higher compared to value of same trait in year 1999. (3.736 t/ha). Variety Dominick emphasized with significantly higher (P≤0.0S) hectoliter grain mass (72.82 kg) in relation to another varieties accept Astor, Vitez and Osk.5.65/2-93. Significantly higher thousand kernels weight compared to another varieties and lines of spring barley had variety Marko. Conducted investigations pointed also to importance of genotype and growing conditions influence at number of kernels per ear. In view of this important quantitative trait it was founded significant difference (P≤0.05) between trial in year 1998. (25.02 kernels) and trial in year 1999. (23.65 kernels). Also there was established significant difference (P≤0.05) between Osijek location (A rang), alluvium soil tip Nova Gradiška (B rang) and pseudogley soil tip Nova Gradiška location (C rang). The highest number of kernels per ear was effectuated by variety Jaran (26.80) and variety Maresi (26.00). The best lodging resistance had variety Astor and place behind it was captured by varieties Marina, Magda, lgor and Vitez.
