Sažetak
Bacterial canker of sweet and sour cherry is caused by two pathovars of Pseudomonas syringae: pv. Syringae van Hall and pv. Morsprunorum (Wormald) Young et al. Regardless of the causal agent, symptoms can be very alike. Severity of symptoms can vary depending on the strain virulence, condition and age of the tree and between different cultivars. Infections can often be linked to prolonged periods of cold weather with high humidity, late spring frost and hail storms. In 2014 and 2015 several samples of both sweet and sour cherry from Međimurska, Zadarska and Slavonsko-baranjska counties were analysed. Both pathovars were identified in Croatia.
