Sažetak
Officers and NCOs who attend military schools are adults, and during the process of their education, it is necessary to use the rules referring to the adult teaching methodology. Adult education is the longest phase of the educational process regardless of that education being formal, non‐formal or informal. Although it is said that officers and NCOs “attend school“, that does not imply that their education will be organized and conducted in the same way as in civilian schools. Education of military personnel is not only the personal interest of an individual, but also the interest of various units which assign officers and NCOs to military educational institutions. As adults, officers and NCOs prefer working individually, in pairs or in smaller groups (syndicates), where they can excel through active participation. Just for that reason, education in military schools must be specially planned. Bearing in mind that adults are used to working individually, teachers should be using methods that allow students to achieve their goals through working as individuals.
