Sažetak

In this paper, we present the results of a pilot study regarding students’ perceptions (age 13–14) on the use of web-based learning material (WBLM) for learning chemistry, designed with an accent on macroscopic and submicroscopic level of representation. Apart from the symbolic level, which is not taught at this age, these are the three levels that chemical concepts should be represented in teaching chemistry. The data were collected using two Likert-type questionnaires, administered after teaching using WBLM. The results showed overall positive impressions of students about the application of these learning materials, which suggests further research into their application, development, and improvement when teaching other chemical and science concepts in general.
