Abstract

The focus of this study is the interaction of participants in the educational process from the perspective of a class teacher in vocational school. Class teaching is a function that embraces and embodies the educational role of school. The role of class teacher in a contemporary educational system is complex. Without clearly defined competencies of class teachers it is not possible to regulate criteria for assigning class teaching in elementary and secondary schools. The quality, forms and content of educational work of a class teacher depends exclusively on his/her personal motivation. The goal of this research was to explore the practice of educational work in one vocational secondary school using the case study method. The study results indicate expectations of class teachers from the teacher training and further professional development, problems that class teachers experience in their work and some solutions for these problems.
