Sažetak

On the sample of 36 classes of boys and 36 classes of girls, grades 9-12 (1st to 4th years of secondary school), the influence of three different experimental of physical education on the somatic, motor and personality traits of students was investigated. The first program was a standard one, in the second one altered methodic procedures were used, while the third one was definitely altered according to the purpose of study.
The evidence obtained unambiguously illustrates that the volume of work in teaching of physical education with 3 periods per week is insufficient to achieve any significant results with respect to changes in somatic, motor and personality traits of the students. The conclusion follows that it is probably necessary to secure 60 minutes of physical exercise daily, through various forms forms of work, for this age group.
