Sažetak
In a sample of 90 students of the High School of Physical Culture the relations between variables of cognitive space and criterion variables - tactical abilities in four sport games (football-soccer, European handball, basketball and volleyball) were investigated. The lower limit of significance (N-2) at the level of 5% was .207. In 14 out of 16 estimated linear correlations the results below the lower limit of significance were obtained. The relationship between individual variables and criteria and individual primary cognitive functions proved significant only in test S with basketball (.227) and European handball (.292).
The multiple correlations between the cognitive test groups and individual criterion variables showed only a slight statistical significance, that is, for football (soccer) (.222) basketball (.261), European handball (.295) and volleyball (.292).
The multiple correlation between the groups of variables and individual battery SVPN, tests was (.361) in test S, (.245) in test P, (1.130) in test V, (.293) in test N. Only test V was below the lower limit of significance.
A relatively highly positive correlation existed between the group of variable criteria and the group of variable criteria and the group of variable cognitive tests (battery (SVPN)), - o.67. The result shows the usefulness of the application of the general factor intelligence tests in the process of the selection of candidates for sport game schools and for the study at the high School of Physical Culture.
