Image Analysis of System for Motion Structuring in 17 Year Old Girls

Sažetak

The battery of 22 motor tests was administered on the sample of 423 pupils drawn from the population of 17 year old girls from secondary schools of Yugoslav capitals. The existence of speed, flexibility, balance, accuracy at aiming and shooting and coordination factors was hypothesised.
Test intercorrelation matrix was calculated and its principal axes were extracted according to the DELTA criterion and transformed to oblimin position. To determine factor structure in higher order space principal components of factor intercorrelation matrix were extracted and transformed to varimax position.
In higher order space the axistance of two dimensions, interpreted as the mechanism of motion structuring and mechanism of functional sinergy and tonus regulation, was shown.
From test intercorrelation matrix 4 factors were extracted and defined as:
- ability to perform complex motors taks;
- ability to perform motor tasks of high speed, but not very complex, mainly with lower limbs;
- ability of tonus regulation in dynamic motor tasks;
- ability of regulation of genereal tonic reactions which are important in performing the slow motions with maximal amplitudes.
Fifth factor was single factors and hence was not interpreted.
