Abstract

Small-scale archaeological investigative work was performed
at the Gradina Rašpor site in February and March of 2021.
Excavation work was financed through an international
project under the European Regional Development Fund. No
architectural features were identified in a pair of five-by-fivemetre
trenches excavated on a terrace to the east side of the hill.
All of the recovered archaeological material (artefacts including
ceramic building material, coarse cooking ware, luxury ceramic
ware, metal and glass) came to their found positions in the course
of collapse of the castle, confirming human occupation on the hill
through the medieval and post-medieval periods.
