In this context, business results and trends in the number of users before and during the pandemic will be analysed. The research uses official data published by Uber, corroborated by relevant scientific literature. The analysis is based on selected financial indicators that are compared with selected indicators of the number of users. The research and analysis focus on three fundamental research questions that reflect the purpose of the research. The research results show a significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the business results of the platform. Likewise, the research results point to successful management strategies of income diversification to mitigate the negative impacts of COVID-19 on total income. In conclusion, COVID-19 had a significant impact on the business results of the platform. On the one hand, during the pandemic, when many businesses were closing, the revenues and the number of rides in passenger transport dropped significantly. On the other hand, the platform developed significantly in the segment of transporting food and other necessities to people’s doors. With economies opening and people returning to their old habits, the platform is rapidly reaching its pre-pandemic business results.
