Sažetak
Aim ‒ was to determine the factor structure and reliability of the Croatian version of the Subjective vitality scale questionnaire and ensure the spreading research of vitality in the Croatian language.
Methods ‒ The 6-item questionnaire was translated by an English teacher in consultation with two kinesiologists. 415 respondents voluntarily completed the Croatian version of the Subjective vitality scale (SVS ‒ CRO). Confirmatory factor analysis was made to confirm construct validity, and the reliability of the scale was determined by the Cronbach alpha coefficient of internal consistency.
Results ‒ using factor analysis with inspection of factor loading was noticed that variable 2: “Trenutno se osjećam tako živim da samo želim puknuti.” had lower loading than other variables as well as low correlation with other variables. Considering this, another model was specified in which this particle was excluded. This model also showed a satisfactory fit to the data and reliability and was retained.
Conclusion ‒ The metric characteristics of the Croatian version of the Subjective vitality scale (SVS ‒ HR) are statistically satisfactory and the future application of the vitality research in the Croatian language using this questionnaire is justified.
