Communication in the digital space, using the example of hospitals in Croatia

Sažetak
In this paper, we investigate the ordering of patients in Croatian first-category hospitals via an online form. When ordering this way, the patient does not have to leave home, there are no transportation costs, no phone costs, and no considerable time costs. The only condition is to have access to the Internet, to know the basic processes on a computer, i.e., to be computer literate. The latter can be limiting for certain groups of patients. Attaching the necessary documents for this kind of ordering (referral and/or medical history) reduces the possibility of errors by hospital employees (who order the patient), which also shortens the time they need to order patients.
