Sažetak

The introduction of BA and MA studies in German teacher
education was mainly initiated by the Bologna Process. The value of the new consecutive, not-integrated Bachelor-Master-Structure in Germany is substantiated by the political argument, that this structure is more conducive to professional mobility than the traditional type of German teacher education. In the paper this argument is considered from a scientific point of view and analysed in the light of studies about the development, professionalism and
poly valence of teacher education and about the professional mobility of teachers. As a result of this discussion the thesis is strengthened that the “new”consecutive, not-integrated BA/MA-Structure does not contribute more to professional mobility of teachers than the traditional type of German teacher education
does. Furthermore, the realisation of the consecutive, not-integrated
BA/MA-Structure in Germany will dismantle the professionalism of teachers. Additionally, the article shows that the integrative types of BA/MA-Structure offer the opportunity to promote professional mobility and the professionalism of teachers.
