Abstract

This paper is about the concept of joint, that is, joining, as Heidegger presents them in his second major work, Contributions to Philosophy. The concept of joint is related to the inner structure of the proposed new way of thinking in the second beginning. Therefore, in this paper, I will analyze joint and joining primarily in the methodological respect. The analysis shows that the methodology of joint and joining is based on the ontology (of be-ing), which I will also briefly address in the second part of the paper. Results of the research allow for the thesis that this joint thinking can be used as a key for the interpretation of the entire (later) Heidegger’s philosophy and as the basis for the so-called topological thinking.

Keywords

Martin Heidegger; Contributions to Philosophy; joint; joining; the second beginning of thinking; topology of being
