Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to administer the connection between the processes of digital transformation and digital optimization. Digital transformation and digital optimization of production processes in an organization are inseparable entities. Digital transformation is focused on building new technological and organizational solutions that will directly affect the creation of competitive advantages of the organization. Digital optimization stabilizes the existing state and directly affects the reduction of costs in the existing production structure or significantly increases revenues above the increase in the level of costs after the digital transformation process. Digital transformation is always the development of a completely new business model, because otherwise it would only be a process of additional digitalization of the existing system. Digital optimization is a continuation of digital transformation with the aim of stabilizing a new business system. While digital transformation directly affects the movement of the organization towards the development of technology and new markets, digital optimization stabilizes the situation after changes and monetizes the new competitive advantages of the organization. The paper analyses the connection
between digital transformation and digital optimization. In this context, a special matrix is used that is analysed through case studies of different organizations and industries.
