Sažetak
Since its outbreak in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused numerous psychological and sociological consequences for individuals and society, and almost all human and economic activities, especially travel and tourism, suffered great material and immaterial damage. In this article, a total of 126 open access papers were analysed to find out how the post-outbreak pandemic affected tourism, tourist movements and the future development of tourism, as well as the behaviour and habits of tourists from the local to the global level. The analysed papers were grouped by topic and research subject. In this way, a total of nine thematic areas were delineated, which shows that scientists are interested in a very wide range of effects and consequences of the pandemic. As expected, most of the analysed papers deal with research on the current impact of the pandemic on various aspects of tourism, including papers related to Croatia.
