Sažetak
As a philosophical and religious text with rich and inexhaustible content, the Bhagavadgītā has fascinated humanity for several millennia, and this is especially true in the modern and contemporary age. Such a text naturally arouses the interest of numerous philosophical and scholarly circles, so it is no surprise that it has given rise to a multitude of different interpretations and polemics. This paper will focus specifically on thinkers who have interpreted the Bhagavadgītā as a historical revelation of universal significance to humanity, transcending its narrow spatiotemporal framework, and will explore the conditions that make such an interpretation possible. In his lectures, emphasizing the universality of the truth voiced through the Bhagavadgītā, Marijan Cipra presented the coherence of two universalist interpretations and their necessary mutual interdependence, thereby provoking both significant resonance and strong polemics.
