APPLICATION OF PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN ADULT EDUCATION

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate the application of project-based learning in adult education, with the aim of analyzing its advantages, challenges and impact on adult learners. It is based on active learning through work on concrete projects, which enables adult learners to develop practical skills and gain a deeper understanding of theoretical concepts through real application. Project-based learning in adult education enables adults to engage better, to be more motivated and to acquire knowledge over a longer period of time. Through working on projects, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills are developed, which is especially useful in professional environments. Also, project-based learning enables personalization of learning because projects can be adapted to the needs and interests of the adult learners. Relevant literature indicates that learners develop stronger connections with the community, as project-based learning often involves collaboration and interaction. The application of project-based learning in adult education leads to improvements in achieving educational objectives, with an emphasis on practical and professional skills. Also, there are certain challenges in the implementation of project-based learning, such as the need for adequate mentoring, access to resources and support, but even through these challenges, project-based learning contributes to greater flexibility and independence of adult in the learning process. This approach to education contributes to creating better conditions for lifelong learning, which is crucial for the success of adult learners in a dynamic work environment.
