Sažetak

Challenging changes in the labor market, caused by new technologies, knowledge, and unforeseen circumstances, have led to a growing need for lifelong learning and adaptation to emerging conditions through the development of new knowledge,
skills, and the establishment of new educational institutions and retraining service providers. For both service providers and society as a whole, it is essential to understand how willing currently employed individuals, as well as those seeking new employment, are to invest their time and effort in acquiring new competencies. The aim of this paper is to gain insight
into respondents’ attitudes towards retraining service providers and lifelong education programs, as well as
their readiness for adaptation. The research was conducted in Osijek-Baranja County among respondents who have secondary and higher education levels, using a Google Forms questionnaire. The survey results serve as a valuable tool for better understanding of all stakeholders in the labor market and their influence on the creation of new lifelong learning programs, on educational change, and on the promotion of adaptability. The results clearly indicate the need for the acquisition of new knowledge. The research employed methods of analysis and synthesis, inductive and deductive reasoning, and statistical methods.
