Historical toponymy of Turopolje

Abstract
The paper discusses approximately 150 historical toponyms of Turopolje, a
microregion located south of Zagreb. For each toponym, we quote historical attestations, word formation, Slavic etymology and cognates from other Slavic languages. Additionally, a new etymology is proposed for some place names such as
Demerje, Ruča and Obed.
