Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to analyse some of the most frequent mistakes in technical English language that have been noticed in lessons and that arise due to paronymy. Authors disagree when it comes to defining paronymy. However, most of authors agree that paronyms are the words that are pronounced and spelled similarly, and have a different meaning, for instance: application – appliance, motion – movement, whereas – while, adapt – adopt, etc. In this paper, the most frequent paronyms in technical English are given as well as examples of tasks for their practice.
