Sažetak
The title of this paper implicitly asks about the possibility of deriving the notion of future from Fichte’s philosophy. In order to determine this possibility, we will explore what makes it possible in Fichte’s philosophy. The title of the paper also explicitly states that this notion of future has an (essential) pedagogical character. The investigation and derivation of the reasons for this claim constitutes the basic logic of the paper. The aim of the paper is to gain insight into the possibility of the idea of pedagogy both through Fichte’s philosophy in general and the notion of future that we will try to derive from it. First, we will look at Fichte’s definition of human being in itself, because this is the starting point of his system of philosophy. After that, we will observe how the dialectic of self-positing produces temporality in general, and then we will pose a more specific question about the notion of future through additional determination of temporality through what Fichte calls the notions of purpose. We will further consider how future determined by notions of purpose exists in relationship between people, i.e., in society, and how Fichte determines the internal connection and being of society. In this context, we will also see how the dialectic of self-production of I produces both temporality and future, as well as basic dialectic of pedagogy, in which relationship the answer to the question of paper’s title will be given.
