Sažetak

The paper presents the model of lexicalization patterns in different linguistic contexts, from theoretical and typological frameworks to psycholinguistic research. The model is theoretically grounded in structuralist and cognitive linguistics, particularly in the cognitive linguistic thesis of the lexicon–grammar continuum, based on the assumption that the lexicon and grammar are inseparable. The model lies at the intersection of word–formation, lexicology, and syntax. The focus of the paper is on grammatical processes underlying the formation of lexicalization patterns as well. The paper also examines the relationship between lexicalization patterns and lexicalization and naming, and their role within onomasiological and lexicological approaches
to lexeme formation across different linguistic traditions. Special focus is placed on the applicability of the model in typological, as well as psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic research.
