Abstract
This paper examines the relationship between primary school teachers’ perceptions of the usefulness of digital textbooks and the frequency of their use in Croatian language instruction. The aim of the study is to determine whether attitudes toward the functionality of digital textbooks influence their integration into the teaching process. The research was conducted on a convenience sample of 301 teachers from the Republic of Croatia using a survey questionnaire. The results indicate a statistically significant relationship between perceived usefulness and the frequency of digital content use. It was found that digital textbooks are most frequently used during the methodological stages of practice and revision, as well as within the subject area of culture and media. The importance of continuous professional development for teachers is emphasized in order to ensure the effective methodological design and implementation of digital content in contemporary education.
