Summary: A Contribution to the Study of Old Floors on the Islands of Krk and Rab: The Example of the Floor Tiles of the Church of St. Stephen in Dobrinj and Villa Antoinette in the Town of Rab

Abstract
Original floors dating from the time of construction of a church or a private house are difficult to find today, as they have rarely been preserved. Even when they have survived, access to them can be limited, especially in the case of private houses or villas. Nevertheless, some examples are accessible and known to the public thanks to individuals who have documented them. This paper presents examples from the island of Krk and the town of Rab, which are then compared with examples from larger Dalmatian cities and from Zagreb. The floors were selected based on the motifs that appear on them and the materials from which they are made. These are identical or very similar motifs found in the interiors of several buildings of different purposes, located in different places.
