Sažetak

The author considers the ways in which European countries have included their Roma communities in their national educational systems. She especially refers to Croatian solutions used within the Međimurje county, and the ensuing litigation, still pending at the European Court of Human Rights. She considers the current Croatian Roma-inclusion policy, the sources and amount of financial means as well as instruments employed. She criticizes the practice of segregating Roma children due to their inadequate linguistic skills, and suggests alternative solutions more in line with the Croatian Constitution, as well as the modern european legislation and human rights standards.
