The River Port of Zagreb

Sažetak

The main subject in this article is the evolution of the idea of establishing of a river port in Zagreb. A detailed analysis of the last proposed location in Rugvica is given. Reasons of choice for this location and its physical characteristics are presented. Finally, the economic significance of the river port as a new transport node as well as the reality of the planed merchandise transfer are cosidered.
