Role of Tourism in Differentiated Demographic Development of the Islands Settlements: Example of Middle Dalmatian Islands

Sažetak
This work looks at the tourism role in differentiated demographic development of the island settlements examplified by the Middle Dalmatian islands. It has turned out that tourism accelerated demographic processes having contributed to the emptying of the island interior settlements and that it strongly influenced differentiated develoment of the island coastal settlements. To sum up: a developed tourism sector of economy strongly induces demographic revival of the island settlements.
