Abstract

Close international cooperation in the field of environmental history within today’s Dinaric Region of the European Society for Environmental History (ESEH) has a two decades long tradition. It involves projects, conferences, workshops, roundtables, publications, university and transdisciplinary courses, summer schools, and social media. The ESEH Dinaric Region was created by merging the regions of Croatia and Serbia, which were joined by Slovenia and Montenegro on the basis of their expressed interest. Neighbouring Dinaric countries are welcome to join the region. Environmental history scholarship, teaching, and outreach in the ESEH Dinaric Region are active growing, they are increasingly interdisciplinary and embedded in international networks and contexts. This paper focuses on collaborative environmental history work in the ESEH Dinaric Region.
