Abstract

Based on these geomorphological analyses, the geo-ecological evaluation of the Rava Islands has been made, from the aspect of their tourism possibilities. Evaluation has ben made in respect of different types of tourism (swimming, sunbathing and hiking) conserving their physical benefits, estetic values and availability.
The method of relative relief evaluation has been conducted, in which the relief has been evaluated through four morphological categories: peaks (summits), valley bottoms and river beds, slopes and coasts. According to this method, as a main limitating factor in the evaluation of tourism possibilities of certain parts of the Rava Islands, difficult approach appeared as a problem, especially on a steep south-western facade of the island (the distance, the lack of pathways and tracks, and of docks and parts). In accordance to this, some suggestions have been made, as a possible solution of this problem (making pathways, informing tourists about interesting destinations for individual or group hikes, organizing a proffesionaly guided excursions).
